About
Professional dancer. Certified trainer. Nutrition coach.
I wanted to be a ballerina.
That was the dream, the one that got me into my first ballet class at six years old and never really let go. I moved to the Netherlands after school to study dance at Fontys University of the Arts, and for a long time, dance was the only thing that mattered.
But the longer I spent in that world, the more I noticed a gap.
The dance world is only just beginning to embrace this.
The conversation around strength training and nutrition for dancers was still in its early stages. The dance world has always prioritised artistry — and rightly so — but the understanding that physical preparation and artistic expression go hand in hand is something the industry is only just beginning to embrace.
I wanted to be part of that shift.
So I got certified. Then I built Soma.
I got certified as a personal trainer, then as a nutrition coach, not to leave dance, but to bring something back to it. In 2021 I founded Soma Coaching and I've been teaching strength and conditioning at Fontys University of the Arts ever since.
I work with dancers at every level — recreational, pre-professional, commercial, contemporary. What they share is a passion for movement and a body that deserves the same attention they give their art. That's exactly what Soma is built for.
