…for the performing dancer, the dance teacher, the dance student
I’ve Been in Your Shoes
Every year, I return as a guest teacher at Fontys University of the Arts, where I support first-year dance students as a strength and conditioning coach.
Over the years, I’ve seen the same questions and struggles come up again and again:
What should I eat before rehearsal?
What’s best to eat after?
Why do I feel so tired? Am I eating enough?
How can I improve my core? What about my weak ankles or turnout?
Sound familiar?
I’ve been there too.
As a dancer myself, I know how challenging it can be to balance rehearsals, performances, strength training and proper nutrition, while still trying to feel energized, strong, and focused.
It’s not about doing more.
It’s about doing what’s right for your body.
